Quiet, bed was comfortable, places to eat within walking distance.
I needed a room to stay in for the night. Riverton Wyoming has lots of hotels but you have to rob a bank before you can stay in one. I went with the Super 8. Being a senior and retired military the lady gave me a discount rate and I finally got her talked down to 85 bucks. It's a small room queen size bed large colored TV probably 42in at least air conditioner working but not enough to cool it down in the room to my liking and the young girl at the front desk didn't know where there was a bar close at hand if I wanted to drink. She did know where there was a liquor store I could buy something but I didn't want that. The cleanliness of the room could be a little better but it's not too bad for a low end hotel I guess is how I'll put it. Everything looked okay, but the bathtub when you go to take a shower does not drain you have to stop your shower occasionally and push the lever down to drain the tub or standing all your slop as your washing. I would recommend it only as a last resort hotel I think. I'm not really impressed and I'm not that picky of a person. There is a Little Caesars next door and the hotel reader told me about place to eat down the street which was excellent food and very cheap. The eatery's name was the trailhead it's about a block down the street great food. Anyhow that's where I'll leave it.
Room was small. If there had been 2 adults, it would have been an uncomfortable arrangement when it came to using the bathroom (which was tiny) & maneuvering around the queen size bed. Not to mention the area for hanging clothes had all of 6 hangers & was in a small corner.
Horrible! It is supposed to be a non-smoking room and was permeated with smoking smells. Even with windows opened the smell would not go away. The air-conditioning didn't work. No regular coffee only decaf. No shampoo only conditioner. He saw a cockroach in the bathroom. He should have slept in his truck it would have been less traumatizing. This review was dictated to me by my husband and he won't be a repeat customer.
When my Son& grandsons (2) arrived to pick me up at the room, it became very close quarters for all of us. So we didn't spend a lot of time in the room.
This place is in serious need of refurbishing - everything is old and smells old, and even the back stairs lookdangerous. As far as I could tell, the back entry doors don't lock. Everything in the room was noisy - the fridge, the heater, the toilet, the bathroom fan. And no HBO? Seriously? Riverton, with its location near an entry to Grand Teton and Yellowstone, should be doing WAY better than it is. This whole town is seriously disappointing, especially for as often as I have to stop off here in my regular travel.
Front desk personnel never seemed to be at the desk. We always had to ring for someone to get service. They were, however, friendly & professional.
Even the hallways were small, which left me feeling claustrophobic.
Would I chose the hotel again? Probably not. I would try Days Inn first &, if not available, look for some place other than the Super 8.
Bed was comfortable. Room was not cleaned properly. End tables had not been wiped, still had a mark from a spilled cup. Hair on bathroom floor. Heater made awful noises.
The complimentary breakfast cereals, etc. were right as you entered the front door & I chose not to partake based on how the set-up looked.
